ADA Membership Types

​

Full Member

Open to experienced adjudicators with a minimum of 10 adjudications, holding appropriate dance qualifications, and endorsed by two references. Enjoy full membership benefits and contribute to our vibrant community.

Trainee Member

Ideal for dancers and teachers aged 25 and above with suitable dance qualifications. Engage in an online training program with mentoring to further develop your adjudication skills.

​

Junior Trainee Member

Tailored for dancers and teachers aged 18 to 24 years with appropriate dance qualifications. Participate in an online training program alongside mentoring to kickstart your career as an adjudicator.

Important Notes

1. The ADA requires the name of two referees who are persons of standing from their area of dance. They must have recent knowledge of your work and they must be able to testify to your general ability in dance. If you have already completed five engagements at eisteddfods, please send the names and addresses of these eisteddfods. There is no need to obtain a written reference. The ADA will contact the secretary/convenor concerned. Copies of all

qualifications supporting this application must be included.

2. The ADA would like to make it clear that all applications are not automatically accepted, and the ADA reserves the right to decline applications without assigning further reasons or entering into correspondence.

​

3. Some applicants may be required to attend further training depending on experience.

​

4. Please attach your current resume/CV, including a photo.

​

5. The ADA accepts adjudicators as full members in one of two ways:

a) If sufficiently experienced in all aspects of dance; and

b) completed five (5) adjudication appointments.

​

6. ADA is not responsible for finding members work. We advertise, network, promote and support each other.

 

7. ​Membership approval is at the sole discretion of the ADA and its Membership Committee.

​

8. Incomplete or inaccurate applications may result in delayed processing or denial of membership.

​

9. The ADA reserves the right to reject applications that do not meet the association’s standards or criteria.

​

10. Approved members are expected to adhere to the ADA’s Code of Ethics and Guidelines.
