Alecia Smith

Specialises in:

Dance

Alecia grew up in Port Macquarie and began dancing early, training with the British Ballet Organisation's Associates Program in Sydney for two years. After completing her HSC in 2016 (studying Drama and placing 1st in Distance Education Dance), she played the title role in Giselle under Jeffrey McCormack before moving to Sydney to study at ED5 International, graduating in 2018 with an Advanced Diploma in Performing Arts.

In Sydney, she performed at major corporate and charity events (Arnott's Gala Ball, The Voice Australia, Fashion AID Sydney, etc.), backed artists like Paulini, Alfie Arcuri, Marcia Hines and Minnie Cooper, and appeared on TV in Woolworths' Carols in the Domain.

In 2019 she relocated to France, spending nearly three years in Disneyland Paris's Character and Parade Department, followed by a summer residency in Kos, Greece, and four years dancing for Ponant and AIDA Cruises. Across Europe she built an extensive network — creating dance films in France, appearing in a Nilusi music video, backing dancers for Mister France, working as Lead Dancer/Assistant Choreographer for Dancers 4 Events Global in Italy, and performing as a dancer/illusionist assistant at the Cologne Christmas Circus with Vincent Vignaud in Germany.

Alongside her performance career, she's spent the last four years developing expertise in mindset, mental health and wellness through the Dancers Circle program. Alecia is now a new member of the Australian Dance Adjudicators Association, eager to inspire the next generation of dancers.
