Nicky has an extensive background in the Performing Arts and is a highly experienced performer, teacher/choreographer, mentor and event manager. She trained under the RAD and CSTD syllabi, furthered her studies at the ‘Ross Coleman Performing Arts Centre (Sydney) and Pineapple Dance Studios (London) and is also a qualified Trainer and Assessor.
Nicky believes in solid technique and strong performance skills. As an Adjudicator, she has over 20 years of experience and is passionate about providing valuable feedback and encouragement to upcoming performers of all ages and abilities. Her expertise, eye for detail and encouraging feedback, provides young performers with a positive, nurturing experience that enables them to gain confidence and endeavour to reach their full potential.
Nicky has adjudicated numerous Eisteddfods and Scholarships events both here in Australia and Internationally. Nicky's professional performing career spans many years, enabling her to showcase her talents as a dancer and singer. Highlights include notable performances in the productions of ‘London Follies’ (Gold Coast), ‘Swing’ – The Musical (Barcelona), ‘Evita’ – The Musical (Sydney), ‘The Jackie Love Show’ (Australian and International Tours), The Royal Bicentennial Concert (Sydney) and World Expo (Queensland, Australia). Her repertoire also includes appearances on Australian television for the ‘Midday show’, ‘Hey, Hey It’s Saturday’ and ‘GMA’. Nicky has also worked alongside some high-profile Artists and choreographers both in Australia and Internationally.
Her wealth of experience and knowledge extends beyond performing to include adjudicating numerous National and International Performing Arts Competitions, Scholarships Events and Championships in all genres. Over the years Nicky has also developed original choreographic works for ‘Wakakirri’, ‘Creative Generation – State Schools on Stage’, National Sports Acrobatics Teams and performance teams. She has a passion for teaching and developing young talent working as a Freelance Teacher/Choreographer and Performance Coach for several decades with many of her students now working in the industry as performers, choreographers and teachers.
