Meet Jasmin

Dance has been part of Jasmin's life for as long as she can remember — it's shaped who she is, and it influences everything she creates. She is a dance and performing arts specialist with a genuine love for helping dancers understand not just what to improve, but how to get there. Warm, encouraging and refreshingly analytical, she believes the best feedback is the kind a dancer can actually use — practical, specific, and always delivered in a way that leaves them excited about their next class, not discouraged by their last one. She has a special love for working with younger dancers, and takes real care in delivering feedback in a way that's clear, age-appropriate and easy for them to understand.

Education and Training

Jasmin holds an Advanced Diploma of Performing Arts (Dance, Singing & Acting) through ED5 International, where she trained continuously across all three disciplines. She grew up training at Barbara Jayne Dance Centre in Adelaide, South Australia, in all foundational styles of dance. Here she built an exceptionally strong technical base, completing her Cecchetti Ballet syllabus (Advanced 1 & 2), her AICD Ballet syllabus (including Solo Seal with the state scholarship for highest mark achieved) and her full CSTD Jazz and Tap syllabus, earning multiple Examiners' Choice and State Awards along the way. Her competitive results reflect that same technical grounding: multiple eisteddfod scholarship wins at SASDS and the Mount Gambier Eisteddfod in Modern, Classical, Tap and Theatrical Championships and National Champion honours with Get the Beat, and Showcase (including Top 5 in Champions of Champions and Dance of the Year). Growing up with a father who was a gymnast, Jasmin also brings a genuine acrobatic and tricks background to her assessments, giving her a sharp eye for both artistry and athleticism. Her vocal training has been shaped by Jennifer Peers and Phillip Filo, while her acting craft was developed under Ed Whiteman and Jo Briant at Actors Hub (Sydney, Australia).

Performance Credits

Jasmin's career has taken her from the Adelaide Strikers dance team and Royal Adelaide Show Productions to four years as a Dancer, Singer and Dance Captain with Carnival Cruise Lines, performing internationally. She has also graced Sydney's Mardi Gras, and performed as a Junior Contemporary Prodigy cast member with Dream Dance Company. Off stage, she has modelled for Energetiks and Dance Train Magazine, and performed for major corporate clients including HelloFresh, Hyundai and Doltone House.

Teaching

For the past 9 years, Jasmin has taught and choreographed across studios in South Australia and New South Wales, with a particular focus on competition solos and a strong emphasis on technical foundations. She is currently rolling out her ELEVATE programs — workshops and short courses in technique and acrobatics — to give dancers extension beyond their regular classes. She has since expanded this passion into her own business, JC.CraftedCo, offering custom music, costume design and choreography to bring every element of a dancer's journey together. Jasmin currently balances her time between the USA and Australia, dancing professionally for Carnival Cruise Line while upkeeping her business, and switching fully into her educating side when she returns to Australia between contracts.

Why Choose Jasmin

Jasmin brings a rare combination of technical rigour, performance pedigree and genuine warmth to the panel. She has a particular passion for the styles that don't always get the spotlight — character ballet, song and dance, tap, and national character — and judges them with the same care and expertise as the mainstream genres. If you want an adjudicator who will give your dancers feedback that's honest, specific and genuinely motivating, Jasmin is that adjudicator.
