Specialises in:
Kasmyn is a dedicated and versatile performer from Tasmania, with over 20 years of experience across a wide range of dance genres, including Classical Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Musical Theatre, Scottish, and Folkloric dance.
Kasmyn’s passion for dance began early, with annual eisteddfods and classical exams through the Australian Conservatoire of Ballet. Her commitment opened doors to exciting opportunities, including performing with her school as the opening act for The Australian Ballet and touring the U.S. with the Institute for Performing Arts—where she trained with industry professionals, performed at Universal Studios and Disneyland, and recorded music at Capitol Records and Paramount Studios. She also danced a youth role in the Victorian State Ballet’s Don Quixote during its Tasmanian tour.
Kasmyn later moved to Sydney to advance her training at Brent Street, where she completed a Certificate IV in Dance Teaching and Management. This experience fuelled her enthusiasm for teaching, guiding her to work with dance schools in Tasmania where she helped students strengthen their technique and boost their confidence as performers.
A highlight of Kasmyn’s career was performing at the prestigious Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, an event that draws an audience of around 220,000 each August. She also had the honour of performing with the Tattoo during its international showcases at Sydney’s ANZ Stadium and Melbourne’s Etihad Stadium. This pivotal experience marked the beginning of an exciting chapter of international performances with OzScot Australia, taking her to South Africa, Canada, the United States, Switzerland, and Russia.
Kasmyn’s international experiences have enriched her appreciation for the cultural diversity within dance. She treasures the meaningful connections that emerge through performing and sharing traditional dance styles from around the world. Having performed in countries where language barriers existed, Kasmyn has witnessed firsthand how dance can become a shared language—allowing people to teach, learn, and perform together without speaking a word. These moments have reinforced her belief in the power of dance to bring people together from all walks of life.
Passionate about combining strong dance technique with meaningful storytelling. Kasmyn is dedicated to supporting the dance community through adjudication and mentorship, with a focus on encouraging and guiding the next generation of performers.
