Beth Sherriff is a highly respected adjudicator, educator and choreographer with over 35
years of experience in the dance industry. Having commenced her training at just two years of age, Beth has developed a lifelong passion for performance, technique and the
development of young artists.
A dedicated and accomplished adjudicator of 19 years, Beth has assessed dancers across
regional and national competitions, bringing insight, fairness and constructive guidance to every event. She is recognised as a well-rounded adjudicator across all styles, with a
particularly strong passion and expertise in tap.
Beth’s background is deeply rooted in theatre and performance. Her strong theatrical
foundation enables her to evaluate not only technical execution but also artistry, storytelling and stage presence.
She has choreographed extensively throughout her career, including
choreography work for Disney, further strengthening her understanding of professional
performance standards.
As the founder and director of multiple successful dance initiatives and long-term principal of Dance Discovery Lalor, Beth has mentored generations of dancers and educators. Her leadership roles within the Australian Teachers of Dancing (ATOD), including Victorian State Organiser and Scholarship Committee, reflect her commitment to maintaining excellence within the industry.
Beth is known for her keen eye for detail, balanced and encouraging feedback style, and her genuine desire to see every performer shine on stage. Her adjudication approach is both professional and supportive, inspiring dancers to grow while upholding high performance standards.
